Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Service Provider
Mester is a continuing professional development (CPD) platform for vocational education and training (VET) professionals. The service is operated by Mester (registration details to follow on the Legal Notice page).
2. Scope of Service
By purchasing a course or bundle, you receive:
- Lifetime access to all purchased course modules, including future updates.
- AI coaching features (subject to availability and fair-use limits).
- A verified Open Badge 3.0 credential upon successful completion.
3. Account & Access
You must register an account with a valid email address. Each account is for individual use only. Sharing login credentials is prohibited. Institutional multi-user access is available through our Department and Centre plans.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices are displayed in euros and include applicable taxes. Prices vary by geographic zone and are determined at the time of checkout. Payment is processed securely through our third-party payment provider. We do not store card details on our servers.
5. Right of Withdrawal & Refund
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, digital content purchases are exempt from the 14-day withdrawal right once access has been granted and you have consented to immediate delivery. However, we offer a voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee: if you are unsatisfied for any reason within 30 days of purchase, contact hello@mesteracademy.com for a full refund — no conditions attached.
6. Intellectual Property
All course content, including text, images, videos, quizzes, and interactive materials, is the intellectual property of Mester. You may use the content for your personal professional development and to prepare teaching sessions. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or resell the content.
7. Credentials & Badges
Open Badge credentials are issued upon meeting the completion requirements of each course (minimum quiz score, session plan approval, and reflection submission). Badges are verifiable and portable. Mester does not guarantee recognition by any specific employer, institution, or regulatory body.
8. Liability
Mester provides educational content in good faith. We do not guarantee specific career outcomes, salary changes, or regulatory compliance resulting from course completion. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant course or bundle.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. For consumers resident in the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply where they offer greater protection.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after that period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
